Last month we were thrilled to partner with Tweed Landcare to begin our mission to plant 1,000 trees in our region as part of our commitment to environmental sustainability.
100 native trees and shrubs were planted at Island Drive at Tweed Heads to help protect the endangered pink nodding orchid, Geodorum densiflorum, from being accidently trampled by people on the way to the river. Other trees and shrubs were planted to help contribute to important bank stabilising along the beautiful Tweed River.
A big thanks to our team at Summerland Credit Union for being part of the tree planting day and a huge thank you to Tweed Landcare for all the work they do to protect our region!
