Summerland Credit Union announces appointment of Katrina Luckie as new Chair.
On Wednesday 12th December, Chair Nicolas Harrison advised that due to personal reasons he would be stepping down from the position of Chair of the Summerland Board.
We are pleased to inform you that the Board of Directors have elected Katrina Luckie as the new Chair of the Summerland Board as per the Board Succession plan.
Chair Harrison commented “Katrina has been a member of the Summerland Board since 2010 and Chair of the Governance Committee since 2015. In her capacity as Chair of Governance Katrina, has also stepped in as acting chair from time to time.
As the Executive Manager of Strategy and Engagement for Social Futures, a Lismore based organisation, not only one of the largest employers in our area but also one of the largest community service providers in NSW, Katrina is extremely active in our community and brings to our Board significant experience in strategy along with wide-ranging skills in project concept development, research, insight and leadership.”
Director Luckie has held a number of key past positions including CEO of Regional Development Australia (RDA) Northern Rivers, and Executive Director of the Northern Rivers Regional Development Board. Katrina has an extensive background in developing regional strategy and environmental planning on the North Coast of NSW and strong interest in social justice issue.
Outgoing Chair Nicolas Harrison has been a member of the Summerland Board for 15 years, 10 of those as Chair. He will continue on the Summerland Board until 30 June 2019 and after that will act in a governance advisory role for an additional 12 months thus continuing to provide the Board the benefit of his experience and knowledge.
