Winners at the 2023 Northern Rivers Business NSW Awards!

Summerland is thrilled to announce our achievement in securing three prestigious awards: the Excellence in Business & Professional Services Award, the Excellence in Sustainability Award, and the Business of the Year Award.

These regional awards were marked by a series of victories in various Chambers over the past six weeks. Courtney Gill, a valued member of our team, earned the Outstanding Employee Award, while Summerland secured Excellence in Business & Professional Services and Excellence in Sustainability Awards in four different Chambers. Distinguished guests attended the event, including Lismore MP Janelle Saffin, Business NSW CEO Daniel Hunter, Regional Director Business NSW Jane Laverty, and the Mayors from Tweed, Byron, Ballina, Lismore, and Richmond Valley. 

These awards provided an exceptional platform for local businesses to showcase their respective strengths across a wide range of categories. The awards considered factors such as business size, industry, employee contributions, leadership, innovation, and sustainability, among other core business values. Given the significant challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and widespread flooding in the Northern Rivers, these recognitions represented the region’s resilience and the remarkable entrepreneurial spirit.
