Third Year Running for Best Employer Award

Summerland Credit Union has again been recognised as a Best Employer across Australia and New Zealand.

The Kincentric Best Employer certification measures and identifies organisations that demonstrate excellence in people practices that build an outstanding workplace.

“Extraordinary organisations like Summerland Credit Union stand above the rest because they accelerate outcomes through high employee engagement, profound organisational agility, engaging leadership and talent focus. We congratulate Summerland Credit Union on achieving this recognition”, said Darryl Parrant, Pacific Market Leader for Kincentric.

Summerland CEO, John Williams said “I am thrilled Summerland has consistently received the Best Employer award, particularly during the most tumultuous era for business where we’ve had to respond to the global pandemic and local natural disasters such as devastating fire and flood events. It truly is testimony to our culture and sustainability as a business”.

John believes the success can be attributed to the way Summerland continues to provide exceptional employee and customer experiences and has adapted to the changing needs by transforming its work environment. Summerland has been recognised as excelling across engagement, agility, leadership and people development.

“We consistently make our people a first priority and this award reflects the commitment to one of our core values – people matter most”, said John.

Summerland’s People and Culture Manager, Pamela Sinclair, echoed John, expressing, “We are overjoyed to have been recognised as a Best Employer for the third year running, confirming our absolute commitment to our people and a continued focus on creating a great culture built on authentically living our shared values.”

With a staff engagement rate of 84 per cent, an increase from the previous two years, Summerland is well ahead of the global average for engagement.
