What do you enjoy about being a Branch Manager?
Meeting and building relationships within my community...
What I enjoy most about being a Branch Manager is the people aspect of the job. I get to build relationships with our customers, local businesses, and the community. It’s like a daily opportunity to chat with all sorts of people and tell them about the awesome stuff we’re doing here at Summerland Bank.
But what really gets me excited is being part of our customers’ life journeys – from helping them land their first job, to getting that first car, saving for a house, having a baby, and eventually retiring. It’s like being on this incredible ride with them through all these significant moments.
Working with my team.
Working with my team is awesome. They are not only great at their jobs, but also fun and supportive. We always help each other out and learn new things every day. Our customers love us because we go the extra mile to make them happy. I feel like I’m part of a big, wonderful family here at the branch, and I love it!
Our Bangalow branch team are highly skilled, friendly and most importantly, local.

Helping support my local community…
One of the best things about working at Summerland Bank is the opportunity to volunteer for different causes. I love being able to give back to the community and make a positive impact on the world. Volunteering also helps me develop new skills, meet new people, and have fun. It’s a win-win situation for everyone. I’m proud to be part of a business that values social responsibility and encourages its employees to make a difference.
Exploring the local cafes and restaurants.
One of the best things about my job is that I get to explore the local cuisine. I’m a foodie at heart, and I enjoy trying out different dishes from the nearby restaurants and cafes. Bangalow and Ballina have so many delicious options to choose from, and I love being close to some of my favourite places in the area.
