Over the past few weeks, our team has been out and about across the Northern Rivers, connecting with locals, supporting local initiatives, and celebrating everything that makes our communities shine. Here’s a look at some of the recent events we’ve proudly supported.
At Summerland Bank, being customer-owned means more than just offering financial services; it means being an active part of the communities we serve. This winter, our team has been out and about, supporting and participating in some of the Northern Rivers’ most beloved events. Here’s a look at where we’ve been:
Love Lennox Festival
From surf to song and everything in between, Love Lennox brought the heart of this coastal village to life. Our team was right in the mix – soaking up the sunshine, enjoying the festivities, and chatting with locals about what matters most to them. We loved seeing so many friendly faces (and four-legged friends!) at this much-loved event.
Lismore Lantern Parade
The Lantern Parade is always a highlight on our calendar, and this year didn’t disappoint. As a long-time supporter of this iconic local event, we were honoured to once again help bring light and colour to the streets of Lismore by facilitating the lantern decorating stall.
It’s more than a parade, it’s a celebration of resilience, creativity, and the beating heart of our region. A huge thanks to everyone who helped make the night so special.
Woodburn Winter Festival
The streets of Woodburn came alive with the Winter Festival, featuring market stalls, live entertainment, a show n shine, and a spectacular fireworks display. Our team was delighted to be part of this festive occasion, connecting with the Richmond Valley community and enjoying the winter cheer.
LisAmore!
LisAmore! brought a slice of Italy to Lismore, celebrating Italian culture with authentic food, live music, dancing, and classic Italian cars and bikes. Held at the Lismore Turf Club, the event also featured language workshops and activities for kids.
We were proud to sponsor the crowd-favorite tug-o-war competition, fostering community spirit and friendly rivalry.
It’s about showing up
As a customer-owned bank, we don’t just serve our communities, we’re part of them. Whether it’s through sponsorship, volunteering, or simply showing up to share the experience, our team is always proud to play a small part in these big local moments.
We’re already looking forward to the next round of community events, and we hope to see you there.
