Version 5.2 of the Summerland Bank app brings new features designed to make your banking safer, smoother, and easier to use. Here’s a look at the handy new features:
Fraud & scam warnings on transfers
To help protect you from fraud, the app will now display a warning when making larger payments:

- New payees: payments over $500

- Existing payees: payments over $5,000
You’ll need to acknowledge the warning before continuing, giving you a moment to double-check the details and stay safe.
Security questions for password resets
Resetting your digital banking password just got easier and more secure. You can now choose 3–10 security questions from a selection of 20 to help verify your identity.
When resetting your passcode in the app, you’ll answer your security questions before receiving a temporary password via SMS.

Custom notification banners
You may notice new messages appearing at the top of your app, these banners are a flexible way for us to keep you informed about important updates. We use them for:
