November was a big month for community involvement at Summerland. From festive celebrations to hands on volunteering and supporting important conservation work, our team was busy across the Northern Rivers helping deliver events and initiatives that strengthen our local community. Here is a look at some of the highlights.
CASPA Christmas Carnival
We were proud to support CASPA’s annual Christmas Carnival at the Lismore Turf Club, an event that brought hundreds of families together for an afternoon of celebration.
Summerland Bank Trivia was a standout activity. The children loved testing their knowledge and were thrilled to receive prizes for their correct answers.

Volunteering at the Summerland Farm Christmas Party
Our team also volunteered at the Summerland Farm annual Christmas Party. Even on a warm evening, the atmosphere was full of festive cheer as staff helped bring joy to families and visitors. It was a great opportunity to support an organisation committed to inclusive employment and community experiences for people of all abilities.
Purple Friday awareness day
On Friday 28 November, our staff proudly took part in Purple Friday to help raise awareness of domestic and family violence. By wearing purple, we joined a wider community movement to show visible support for people affected and to promote important conversations about safety and respect.

Bangalow Koalas tree planting milestone
To round out the month, Tara and Dylan joined Bangalow Koalas for another community tree planting day. This event marked a major milestone as volunteers planted the 500,000th tree toward the organisation’s goal of one million.
The moment was made extra special with founder Linda Sparrow celebrating in a koala costume, adding some fun to an already memorable day. We are proud to continue supporting Bangalow Koalas and their ongoing efforts to restore vital koala habitat across the Northern Rivers.

Looking ahead
Thank you to everyone who supported these events and the organisations involved. We value our partnerships with local groups that make a positive impact across our region and look forward to continuing this work in the months ahead.
