Coming together with purpose. A new journey begins.

We’re excited to share that customers of Summerland Bank and Regional Australia Bank have voted in favour of our proposed merger.

This milestone marks an important step toward creating a stronger, customer-owned bank, one that brings together shared values, local knowledge, and a deeper commitment to the people and communities we serve.

This merger isn’t just about scale, it’s about purpose. Both banks share a long history of ethical, customer-owned banking and a strong commitment to the regions we call home. Together, we can do more for our customers, employees, and the communities that support us.

We’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all customers who took part in the merger process, from casting your vote to attending our information evenings and asking thoughtful questions of our leadership team. Your engagement and feedback helped shape this outcome and ensured the voices of our members and communities were heard. Your involvement reflects the strength of customer-owned banking and the shared belief that we’re stronger together.

In the months ahead, we’ll continue to plan for integration and prepare for the formal merger in July 2026. We’ll keep you updated as key milestones are reached and ensure there’s clear communication along the way.

If you have any questions or would like to know more, we’re always here to help.
