Supporting organisations that make our communities stronger.

At Summerland Bank, community has always been at the heart of what we do. That’s why we’re proud to share the results of this year’s Community Matters program, an employee-led initiative that gives our team the opportunity to nominate and support local charities, community groups and organisations making a positive difference across our region.

This year, Summerland staff nominated 10 organisations and cast 60 votes to help determine how funding would be distributed. Together, those votes helped direct support to a range of organisations making a meaningful impact in their local communities.

The 2026 Community Matters recipients are:

    • Grafton Helping Hands

    • Lismore Golden Oldies Rugby Club

From supporting people experiencing housing insecurity and promoting mental wellbeing, to caring for animals, strengthening community connections and assisting emergency services, these organisations play an important role in helping our communities thrive.

Community Matters gives our team the opportunity to support causes they are passionate about and help direct funding to organisations creating positive change close to home. It also reflects Summerland Bank’s ongoing commitment to supporting the communities where we live and work.

We would like to thank every organisation that was nominated, as well as our staff who participated in the program. Together, we’re helping make a difference where it matters most.
