Help shape the future of banking in regional Australia.
At Summerland Bank, we have always believed that strong communities deserve access to quality banking services and a genuine choice.
As part of the Regional Australia Bank family and a proud supporter of regional communities, we are inviting our members to participate in an important survey about the future of banking in regional Australia.
The Regional Banking Investment Alliance (RBIA) is gathering feedback from members, community members and regional Australians about how they prefer to bank and the services that are most important to them.
The results will be provided to Federal Government and will help demonstrate how people are choosing to access banking services today and what they want to see available in the future.
What is the proposed solution?
The Regional Banking Investment Alliance is advocating for a cost-sharing model designed to support banks that continue to invest in regional, rural and remote face-to-face banking services.
The proposal would ensure all banks contribute fairly to maintaining access to essential banking services in regional communities, either through their own branch investment or through the industry-funded model.
Importantly, the proposal would not require taxpayer funding and is designed to help support the long-term sustainability of regional banking services.
Whether you prefer visiting a branch, banking online, using mobile banking or a combination of services, your feedback is important.
Complete the survey
Please complete the survey by Monday 21 September 2026.
The survey only takes a few minutes to complete and will help ensure regional communities continue to have a strong voice in decisions affecting banking services.
